Frequently Asked Questions

ValueKraft operates in the space of Coaching and Facilitation. In both these areas, the approach is to enable transition of involved person(s) from their current state to their desired state. While coaching is largely done one-on-one, facilitation is a group process where a Facilitator works with a group of people on any Outcome that could be common to all the members of the group or in case of a heterogenous group, it could also mean different outcomes for different participants.

Coaching is a process that enables an individual to move from where they are to where they may wish to be. It may not be necessary that someone is necessarily stuck in life to be Coached. While one may be doing well, it allows them to go deeper within to figure out their Purpose, realize their potential, carve out action plans, create accountabilities and take progressive actions for themselves. Coaching is a future-oriented process which considers that all our solutions lie within us and need channelizing.

Some issues where Coaching is used (illustrative list and not exhaustive):

  • Individual challenges such as time management, discipline, issues related to Health, Relationships, Career, or Financial management.

  • Working relationships

  • Managerial and Leadership capabilities such as delegation, micromanagement, authoritative behaviour, inability to retain and inspire team, creating High performing teams, talent development, time management, etc.

  • Interpersonal issues

  • Executive presence, etc.

Anyone who has a query in their mind about themselves in any of the above areas. It may not be a real issue, but they might be aspirational to get better. If you have a question, book a free consultation on our website and find out for yourself.

We, of course, do B2B Coaching for Corporates.

No. Training is largely a one-way download of content by the Trainer. Training works best where the participants have a need to learn a technical skill which is not known to the group. Facilitation is a Group process which is best suited for working on group behaviours or individual behaviours in a group. Typically, in such cases, the transformation is brought about through awareness of the existing (current) behaviour and it’s undesirable consequences, an acceptance of the same by the participants and a readiness to learn and adopt a new way of working or doing. For instance, if senior leaders who form a Leadership team work in silos, they cannot be trained to change, because they already know consequences either way. Hence, for them to change, requires a group process to facilitate this change for them as it is not easy for them to transition just because they are told to do so. Facilitation focuses on sustainable change which is led and executed by the individual.

At a B2B we recommend our Clients to consider a journey approach, wherever deeper changes are needed. A journey ensures that learners / participants not only become aware of and accept their current unresourceful state but also work out their action plans for implementation. A journey ensures they reconvene multiple times with the Facilitator/Coach to track their progress towards a changed resourceful state. That is the type of work we enjoy as we can travel with the participants through sustained change. Depending on requirements, we also take on one-off sessions.
